If they didn't have double standards, they wouldn't have standards at all.

We now have smoking gun physical and testimonial proof of Hunter Biden breaking the law in terms of his employment at Burisma. Recall that Democrats impeached Donald Trump just for asking Zelensky about it, and hypocritically demanded it was election interference.

But the bigger problem the testimony presents for Joe Biden’s 2024 reelection chances is that there is now detailed evidence in public that Hunter Biden’s deal with the Ukraine based energy company Burisma Holdings involved illegality.

Democrats for years suggested reporters like this one who reported stories questioning Hunter Biden’s dealings with Burisma were conspiracy theorists and that former President Donald Trump deserved to be impeached in 2019 for asking Ukraine to investigate the Burisma relationship.

I am not going to pretend that this is going to matter much to the legacy media or Democrats in general. They have a way of justifying their own hypocrisy and erratic political behavior. They will break all the rules and bend all the laws to protect their own or go after the bad orange man.

Now in this instance we not only have FBI people coming forward, but we have IRS people as well. Basically their recommendations were ignored and their requests for subpoenas and such to gather more information were denied. In some cases the statute of limitations were allowed to run out on serious offenses that had recommendations to prosecute. By all accounts, these investigations were held up and undermined by political appointees (not rank and file investigator or their normal chain of command).

This has all been an exercise in election interference, as were the impeachments of Donald Trump. Democrats impeached a President to try to prevent another country affected by these crimes to investigate on their end. Something they couldn't have because they couldn't control it. It is clear now that Biden did threaten and blackmail the Ukrainian government to fire the people responsible for the Burisma investigations and that any attempts to look into it were thwarted by politics. There is no question that crimes were committed and our own government threatened other governments to cover it up. Under normal circumstances this would be a bombshell. In 2023, it is just business as usual and nobody will see anything wrong with it.
