If Democrats truly believed what was happening to the country was bad...

Then why would they not just let it play out and hope to win back everything through the election?

Democrats are barking at the moon over how bad things are now that 1000s of Government employees have been fired. According to them, this will be the end of the country as we know it. Perhaps it will be. But for many Americans, ending the shitshow of bureaucracy is the result we are hoping for.

Democrats are pretending that all of these government services need their protection for the good of the country. But when has any politician (much less a collective of a political party) ever been more concerned with the good of the country than they are with the good of their own political ambitions. I find it hard to believe that after the years of corruption from many of these lifelong politicians that suddenly they are worried about something other than their own power.

Let's be clear. The Democrats have more power because they own the bureaucracy. Probably as much as 80% of the non-discretionary tax-dollar spending is spent by bureaucrats who answer to nobody. These bureaucrats overwhelmingly vote for Democrats, donate to Democrats, and hold liberal views. As long as our government is literally run by bureaucrats, elections hardly matter. Because no matter who in congress is allocating money to various causes, these agencies are simply taking the money and spending it on what they want.

They take a small portion of what they are allotted to do the important necessary portion of their responsibility and then take the rest and spend it on their own priorities. This was the reality of USAID. They spent 22% of their budget on what the agency was designed to do (provide foreign aid) and the other 78% was spent on whatever they wanted to spend it on. The 78% included providing newspaper subscriptions to themselves (and other government workers), running transgender clinics in India, funding anti-Israel terror organizations, as well as spending billions pushing other Government to become more "woke". According to auditing, at least a billion a month (from a variety of agencies) was spent propping up Hamas, while our elected officials acted on behalf of those who vote for them in spending billions supporting Israel. Who authorized tax-payer dollars to be spend on Hamas? Nobody. These agencies decided for themselves to do it.

However, Democrats are offering you a different reality. They claim that these agencies and these bureaucrats are the backbone of the Government, and that they all perform nothing but honest to goodness work that is needed for our country to function. Cutting back on these agencies, firing bureaucrats, or even auditing what they are doing is going to harm the country. Of course, if this was true, then the Democrats would be better off sitting back and watching it implode. Once the dust settles and everyone understands that we need all of these agencies and bureaucrats and Democrats will cruise to electoral victories beyond what we have seen in some time. Then they cannot just rehire people back into the bureaucracy but will be able to expand on the whole structure, all for the good of the nation of course. People will love them, and the Government will function better than ever. They may even end up with that ever-elusive permanent majority.

But they do not seem very gung-ho to take that chance. It would appear that they are going to do everything and anything in their power to try to prevent any oversight of these agencies. At the end of the day, how can that remain a popular strategy?
