Oh... and apparently Biden lied and his handlers lied, lied, and the told some more lies.
So the big takeaway from the testimony today was that Hur did not exonerate Biden. Biden did commit a crime, but Hur reiterated that Biden is simply not competent to stand trial. One of the things Biden apologists demanded was to ask why Hur brought up Beau and when he died? There was a fairly wide gap between those who demanded Hur was trying to get under Biden's skin by bringing up his dead son and those who trusted that Hur was telling the truth when he said it was Biden who brought up his own dead son. Since Slow Joe brings him up all the time, I fell down on the Hur side of things. Turns out Hur was telling the truth:
MR. HUR: So during this time when you were living at Chain Bridge Road and there were documents relating to the Penn Biden Center, or the Biden Institute, or the Cancer Moonshot, or your book, where did you keep papers that related to those things that you were actively working on?
PRESIDENT BIDEN: Well, um .. . I , I, I, I, I don’ t know. This is, what, 2017, 2018, that area?
MR. HUR: Yes, sir.
PRESIDENT BIDEN: Remember, in this timeframe, my son is either been deployed or is dying, and, and so it was and by the way, there were still a lot of people at the time when I got out of the Senate that were encouraging me to run in this period, except the President. I’m not — and not a mean thing to say. He just thought that she had a better shot of winning the presidency than I did. And so I hadn’t, I hadn’t, at this point — even though I’m at Penn, I hadn’t walked away from the idea that I may run for office again. But if I ran again, I’d be running for President. And, and so what was happening, though – what month did Beau die? Oh, God, May 30th –
MS. COTTON: 2015.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE SPEAKER: 2015.
PRESIDENT BIDEN: Was it 2015 he had died?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE SPEAKER: It was May of 2015.
PRESIDENT BIDEN: It was 2015.
Obviously his son was never deployed and did not die in combat. But the old geezer apparently is stuck on the concept that he lost a son in military battle. He knows that for sure, but cannot remember exactly what year he died. He also believed his son was dying at the time he took the classified documents to the Penn center, which is why he forgets about the details. Of course his son had died two years earlier.
Moreover, he suggest that in 2017-2018 the President discouraged him running because he believed Hillary had a better chance of winning the Presidency. Obviously in 2017 that race was already over and Trump was President. Oh and he was not getting out of the Senate when the President (Obama) discouraged him from running. He was ending his time as Vice President.
Yeah... I understand where Hur could see the idea that this man could not competently stand trial. He is literally delusional.
