Hunter now says laptop stolen?

Only problem is that the computer shop owner still has a signed receipt from Hunter for the workorder in question

So Hunter (who is the smartest man Joe knows) now is trying to claim that his computer data was illegally taken and accessed. This is slight change from the original assertion that the laptop was not really his. When it comes to lying badly, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.

The bigger problems now is that people looking through the laptop have found emails and such that seem to be based on information that would have been classified. It is one thing if Dementia Joe is absent mindedly leaving his classified documents in boxes in the garage, mixed in with his crossword puzzles, or in other random places because he is a senile old man. It would be another if he left them in places where his son would have access. I am not sure it if would be worse if Joe knew he was allowing Hunter access or if Hunter was scamming the old man.

Either way, Hunter has at least finally admitted that the laptop with all of the potential criminal activity is his. I suppose there was no real way around that. But now he is going to suggest that the shop person who accessed it was doing so illegally and will look for a get out of jail free loophole. But a signed receipt makes that claim just as dubious as the claim it was not his.

Meanwhile, our feckless mainstream media has continued to ignore or has even thrown water on the story. Imagine for a second if Don Jr or Eric Trump was found to have accessed and used classified information that they got from their dad in some shady (and illegal) business dealings. It would be all these hacks could talk about for however long they could get away talking about it. You would have likely already seen a full scale FBI raid (complete with tipping off CNN, MSNBC, and every network), followed by the Trump kids frog-marched in ankle cuffs with guns pointed at their heads.
