Hard to believe, but there will not be free busing in NYC!

Zohran Mamdani has confirmed that his promise no fare buses will not happen in 2026.

In Albany, no one has included the free bus plan in their budget proposals, and it seems like that’s not something that your administration is pushing hard for this year. Have you already accepted that might be something you’ll be pushing in 2027 instead of 2026?
Herein lies the problem with a local mayor making promises that he cannot deliver without other people fundamentally changing how things work. In this case, his promise required the state to increase their budget (rather than the city). Now, does it matter that the socialist who stated that everything can be free will not actually deliver on much of any of the free stuff he promised? I doubt it in the end. If you are gullible enough to believe the promises in the first place, then you will be gullible enough to believe the excuses when the free stuff doesn't pan out. It will always be someone else's fault and the only way to fix it will be to replace them with other socialists who promise to give away free stuff.
Remember, it’s Democratic Socialism.
my sister was all giddy when he got elected. “Watch what Democratic Socialism will do”
Every fail he’s had I simply send to her, I just get “fuck you” as a response now
