Happy Memorial Day!

Or as most Americans see it... a long weekend to usher in summer?

Sad, but true... many Americans cannot distinguish between Memorial Day and Veterans Day. But, of course, there is a big difference. One holiday celebrates those who died in service and the other celebrates anyone who served. Not to take away from the sacrifices of joining the military but dying in combat is a bit more of a sacrifice. Sadly, there is a recent movement on the left to suggest that these sacrifices are not worthy of celebration and that we should simply feel sad for anyone who joins the military, because obviously they didn't really want to join. According to many, those who join the military do so because they have no other choice and because nobody loves them enough to stop them. I find that liberals have become more and more and more about looking down on other people and the reaction by many to Memorial Day further proves that.

Son and I went to Cooperstown to visit the HOF on Sunday since it poured rain all day. First time there in 20 years.

If you haven't been in a while or ever, it's worth the trip.
