Hamas rejects peace and embraces war!

Israel offered 2 month ceasefire in exchange for the remaining hostages. Hamas rejected it.

The terrorist group Hamas has rejected a generous Israeli ceasefire offer in exchange for the release of remaining hostages, media reports say. Israel had offered “a two-month cease-fire in exchange for hostages, and a free passage out of Gaza for its leaders,” the Israeli news website Ynet reported Tuesday.

Not sure if the safe passage our of Gaza was for Hama's leaders? The idea of Hamas giving up both their hostages and any ground they still hold in Hamas in exchange for a ceasefire was probably a non-starter. They would basically be conceding the war. While this would be good for Gazans in general, it would be bad for Hamas and their hold on the area.

Either way, a two month ceasefire is about as good as Hamas could have hoped for. Perhaps they are going full martyr at this point, thinking that they did not want to give Israel any chance to look good by providing them with such a generous offer. That being said, what would hold back Israel after two months if Hamas had no more hostages. Israel has probably done enough damage at this point that it would probably take Hamas closer to two decades than two months to rebuild or fortify anything of substance. Israel probably believes that they might be better served by a two month ceasefire where they can consolidate and plan the final stages.

Of course the elephant in the room is that nobody knows how many hostages are left alive. Israel has found plenty of dead hostages since they entered Gaza and for all anyone knows, there are few (if any) hostages still being held alive. This could be the other reason why Hamas is choosing to reject their offer. They may not have hostages to turn over anymore. Better to keep things in the dark as to how many are still alive than to admit that none are.

Either way, I am still rooting for Israel to completely destroy everything and anything related to the Hamas terror infrastructure and to kill as many of them as possible. Sure, some will go into hiding and try to possibly make a come back at some time, but that will be a rebuilding project the likes of which no professional sports franchise has ever seen.

Judge orders release of last ‘Newburgh Four’ defendant, blasts FBI’s role in terror sting

Prosecutors in the high-profile case said the Newburgh defendants spent months scouting targets and securing what they thought were explosives and a surface-to-air missile, aiming to shoot down planes at the Air National Guard base in Newburgh and blow up synagogues in the Bronx. They were arrested after allegedly planting “bombs” that were packed with inert explosives supplied by the FBI.

Critics have accused federal agents of entrapping a group of men who were down on their luck after doing prison time.

In a scathing ruling, McMahon wrote that the FBI invented the conspiracy and identified the targets. Cromitie and his co-defendants, she wrote, “would not…
