Good for Elon

Go F^$# yourself!!! Not going to be blackmailed by advertisers!

If you watch this video, what Elon is saying makes perfect sense to me, but the journalist was completely confused by it. Musk is worth nearly 200 billion dollars and some CEO of some woke company demands he apologize for something he wrote on Twitter or lose his advertising? What does Elon care about a few advertisers on Twitter (when others are likely lined up to take their spot). Why does the journalist act as if Musk was threatening to chew off his own arms by standing up to advertisers?

It would be one thing if Twitter was Musk's only or even main source of income, and even then these advertising boycotts have never hurt anyone other than those who cave to it. Just look at how well Tucker Carlson is doing in comparison to FOX News. The only entity hurt here was FOX. Tucker is doing better than ever and nobody is trying to control him.

Elon Musk will not make that same mistake. Twitter could lose money for the rest of Musk's time on the planet and it won't take any food off his table or even stop him from buying another yacht or exotic sports car. He makes more than enough money on other fronts and someone like Elon could turn around and start a new business tomorrow and no doubt make it successful. Twitter was a buy he made for his own amusement, not as a business gesture. Would he like to make money? Sure. Will he make money eventually on Twitter. No doubt. But if he starts to cave to every advertisers demand, then buying Twitter made no sense. He certainly didn't buy it to appease other people or be bullied. Those advertisers should go back to picking on people who are not way bigger than them.
