Fulton County election board member speaks up.

This is ironic considering Fulton County is where Trump is being prosecuted for challenging the election.

Some of the things he testifies to:

  • More names on the voter rolls than voting age people living in the county.

  • Election officials refused to provide any chain of custody documents regarding drop box or mail in ballots.

  • Admitted to not verifying signatures after electronic process failed, in spite of signature verification required by law.

  • A basic complete lack of cooperation and transparency between the election officials and the election board.

Needless to say this is a disturbing video, but not a surprising one. Most everyone understood that Fulton and Gwinnett counties had wild inconsistencies with both their ballot counting and their lack of following the election laws. As the narrator suggests at the end, the problem for most people is not what happened in Georgia in 2020, but the fact that people are trying to call them out on it. In other words the problem is the guy testifying.

The reality is that the size and scope of these issues are unlikely to happen again. Those who were in charge in Fulton in 2020 are long gone and Georgia has new laws that will keep this stuff in check (at least in theory). This is why Kemp was able to win by the more normal 7% in 2022. Georgia state legislature has GOP supermajorities and the state has no business being a purple battleground state at the statewide level. That anomaly was done at the 2020 election and really had not and probably will not be seen again. At least as long as they keep these large Democratic counties from ignoring election law.
