At the southern border, we have obtained near-total control, with daily encounters now down over 93% since President Trump took office. March saw the lowest number of border encounters in recorded history in the history of the United States of America at just under 7,200. That means that there were days where we had less than 200 encounters, which again is the lowest in recorded history. Under the previous administration, U.S. Customs and Border Protection was at times encountering over 15,000 people a day, which meant efforts were diverted into processing and facilitating an invasion of our country instead of doing their jobs.

I still remember when liberals and Democrats suggested that it was Republicans who did not want to shut down the border because they refused to vote for a half trillion dollar plan that would have literally limited the President from doing anything at the border until it hit obscene levels. The bill basically set up more Government spending, more employees, all to be able to process the 1.2 million people a year that they wanted to normalize as our new border crossing benchmark.

The idea was not to fix the problem with too many people coming over the border, but to fix the problems with not having enough resources to make sure all of these people were processed and given the obligatory handouts to get them started in their new life of mooching off the government and voting Democrat. But they had many people on the left convinced that it was actually Democrats who were suddenly the border hawks and Republicans who were just trying to use the border for politics.

As it turned out, the Democrats were basically lying about it without really lying. They were saying exactly what it was that they wanted. They wanted to normalize the number of crossings that had become common under Biden. But were able to convince many of their gullible liberal electorate that they were border hawks when the GOP would not go along with it. As it turned out, Trump and the GOP was correct about how easy it would be to shut down the border and correct that Biden and the Democrats were in fact trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the public.
