in 2019 SCALE instituted a reimbursement program for our legal process response from the FBI.
So to be clear. The FBI had communications with Twitter (and other social media) where they "advised" them on what was disinformation and what was something that should be allowed.
For instance, the Russian collusion story was perfectly legitimate, but the Hunter laptop story was considered Russian disinformation. Even as the FBI knew that Russian collusion "was" literally Russian disinformation, and they had no evidence what-so-ever that the Biden scandal was untrue. But that was their version of truth vs disinformation. It only coincidently always works in the political favor of Democrats. In exchange for Twitter following their guidance, Twitter was literally paid by the FBI.
“Jim, FYI, in 2019 SCALE instituted a reimbursement program for our legal process response from the FBI. Prior to the start of the program, Twitter chose not to collect under this statutory right of reimbursement for the time spent processing requests from the FBI. I am happy to report we have collected $3,415,323 since October 2019! This money is used by LP for things like the TTR and other LE-related projects (LE training, tooling, etc.).”
Check me if I am wrong, but this seems like a scandal? It seems that our Government should not be advising public forums (Twitter is a public forum legally under section 230) on what the public can and cannot discuss. It certainly should not be paying Twitter to follow their advise. Of course, just all in a day's work for the FBI... according to the FBI.
“The correspondence between the FBI and Twitter show nothing more than examples of our traditional, longstanding and ongoing federal government and private sector engagements, which involve numerous companies over multiple sectors and industries. As evidenced in the correspondence, the FBI provides critical information to the private sector in an effort to allow them to protect themselves and their customers.”
“The men and women of the FBI work every day to protect the American public. It is unfortunate that conspiracy theorists and others are feeding the American public misinformation with the sole purpose of attempting to discredit the agency.”
So the American public needs to be protected from the Hunter laptop story, but not protected from the made up lie of Russian collusion. Oh right, because the FBI didn't create the Hunter laptop story as it was real and a real story should be ignored if it harms the wrong people. But they did make up the Russian collusion story which was literally designed to harm specific people, which is why it needed to be pushed. It isn't the truth they want to push. It's just a narrative about who they decide is good or bad.
Moreover, this is not about disparaging the rank and file members of the FBI personally. I think we are all sick and tired of that little game. This is about the corruption with whomever decided it was right for our Government to pay social media companies to follow their partisan orders designed to undermine the first amendment rights of American citizens and push their own personal partisan narratives over the top of it all.
I guess the FBI issuing a statement was a clever way of catching the purveyors of the "misinformation"
brilliant
Now how is the FBI going to explain holding on to a real verified laptop for a year and then letting 51 former "intelligence" officials and then candidate Biden falsely classify it as Russian disinformation?
Except that they are all corrupt
As is obvious
Banana Republic
run by "the big guy"
whoever that is
the FBI is on the case
Our resident genius has suggested that none of this is actually true... because if it was, then we would be reading about it in the WSJ or NYT or WaPo.
Apparently Twitter is faking the information and the FBI is responding to the fake information as if it is real... because like the rest of us, the FBI has also "fallen" for the propaganda!
