Only question will be the final vote count...
I've read a few different takes on todays arguments in front of the USSC on whether or not Donald Trump should be disqualified from the Colorado ballot under the 14th Amendment.
So far the takes have not too surprisingly suggested that the Justices were skeptical of Colorado's argument. It also certainly sounds like there is plenty of legal reasoning to rule in favor or Trump short of making a call on whether or not Jan 6th was an insurrection. I think like most people, the Court should probably make a call on that as well, but as it stands, there may be a strong consensus to force him back on the ballot without having to make any declaration regarding January 6th.
Not only were the expected members of the court skeptical of the arguments from Colorado, but even the liberal justices seems unconvinced by the Colorado claims as well. it could very well be that we are looking at 7-2, 8-1, or even 9-0 ruling on this one in favor of the bad orange man. Watch for heads to explode.
