Don Lemon is arrested

The original Minnesota judge was either overruled by appellate judge or a grand jury.

Ironically, Lemon will be going with the first amendment defense. I say this is ironic because the first amendment is the very thing that provides the religious freedom that prompted the law that he broke. I think journalists often time forget that the first amendment covers several things before it comes to the press, the very first of which is freedom of religion and freedom to exercise your religious views.

Lemon has hired a big time lawyers (same person who represented Hunter Biden). Of course Biden was convicted of his gun crimes, so perhaps having a good attorney can only help so much. This appears to be an open and shut case and there is nothing in this law (or any laws in particular) that provide that journalists can break it in order to gather a story.

I wonder out loud had Lemon still been working with a major news network that someone from legal would have told him not to storm a church with agitators for a story. I wonder if they would have told him to gather the story from the street and to not get personally involved to prevent any personal legal jeopardy. Of course, he is now out there as an independent journalist, obviously without a clue how either the law or the first amendment works.
