Direct correlation: The dumbing down of college admittance and the percentage of liberals!

So the questions seems simple enough? Are they dumbing down admission standards because they need more liberals, or do they need dumber students in order to turn them into liberals?

Obviously there has been a correlation with the dumbing down of college admissions and the lack of conservatives now attending college. We have seen colleges drop SAT and ACT requirement scores and some colleges no longer even suggest they are needed. They no longer really look much at High School GPA or other things like extracurricular activities. Lord forbid you write an essay. What the appear to look for now is the politically correct amount of diversity to make themselves look like they are inclusive and equitable.

If you are of any Asian descent, you have to pretty much be perfect to get a chance to go to college. If you are White and use a normal pronoun, well you might as well just google the local trade schools because the colleges have no use for you. Lord forbid you see yourself as conservative or might be willing to vote Republican. That is more likely to get you tarred and feathered than to get you into school.

Okay.. I might be exaggerating a bit here. But there is no question that the requirements on going to college have changed dramatically over the past few years and none of those changes focus on anything merit related. In fact, things like SAT scores, GPA, essay writing and other core parameters for how colleges used to pick students are more likely to be called racist than be used in 2023. So you have stories of high school students who graduate with high GPA taking your advanced placement classes, with exceptional college admission test scores having to settle for a local state college because they are passed over by elite colleges who are looking more at filling the checkmarks of diversity and equity.

So what do we have? Dumber students who are much less Asian and White than they used to be. Sorry if that offends. But matter of fact, you cannot lower your standards of admissions, pass over those with higher generic merit based criteria for those who performed lower, and not come out on the other side with dumber students. Simply impossible for it to turn out any different way. Moreover, it appears that the dumber the student bodies are, the more indoctrinated they are with liberal ideology. It appears to be a vicious circle. A circle that is vicious that is a circle.

So how do you come out on the other side of this? You probably don't for some time. There has to be a reckoning that will come over the next couple of decades as our American college educated citizens enter the workforce and either find out that companies prefer employees from other parts of the world or they work for woke companies that don't care about profits or business and eventually go broke. At some point in time, I suspect we will see Harvard grads putting on their apron at Starbucks asking the well dressed trade school graduate if they want whip cream on their latte.
