Did the GOP just win the shutdown fight?

Looks like about ten "moderate" Democratic Senators are willing to reopen the government for a "promise" to take a vote on Obamacare subsidies.

Apparently, there will be several different votes, but in reality, the only real thing that the Democrats get out of this will be a guarantee that laid off workers will be rehired and a December vote on the ACA subsidies. While Democrats are going to be seen to have "caved" on the deal, time will tell how that plays out. Like it or not, I suspect that the subsidies formerly known as emergency covid subsidies will likely be extended, giving Democrats a win down the road. All we have to do with the American public is rename the emergency subsidies (funded by the emergency covid bill) to be enhanced subsidies, and suddenly they are something we cannot live without.
Perhaps the ACA subsidy bill doesn't pass, and the Democrats will really end up humiliated. It, of course, is possible that there are not enough votes to pass the bill either way. There is also a chance that Mike Johnson will not bring the bill to a vote in the House. Either way, I would love to watch the howling if either scenario comes through.
I love that everyone hates Schumer. He's been my senator for decades and he's been an *sshole the whole time.

A bad day for Democrats...
Because the Government is now going to open back up and all the horrible things that was happening to Americans is over. Interesting take on it.
