Democrats shift Obamacare blame to the GOP and many fall for it?

Obamacare was passed without a single GOP vote. The subsidies were set to expire at end of 2025 and were also passed without a single GOP vote. But somehow it is now on the GOP to fix both the rising costs and the expiring subsidies.

My favorite bit of rhetoric is how the Covid subsidies (created to be temporary) are now being referred to has "enhanced subsidies". Moreover, they are being talked about as though they are really designed to be permanent subsidies that the GOP is trying to end by not voting to extend them. Lastly, they have convinced many of their lackies in the media that this is really a health care crisis that can be blamed solely on the GOP. Interesting take, huh?
But back to the current debate. Given the Democrats had full control over the original measure appropriated to the subsidies, it would seem that they knew that these were not permanent and had to have believed that they would be temporary to assist people with getting through the Covid fiasco. They apparently didn't understand the fatal flaw of Obamacare and apparently didn't understand that without the individual mandate that Obamacare would eventually lead to higher premiums as it started down the road to the current death spiral. As prices continue to rise, healthy people will continue to drop coverage, leaving more unhealthy people, which leads to higher prices, which leads to more and more healthy people leaving, rinse, lather, and repeat. The only way to alter this is to just continue to raise the subsidies and lower the threshold for when someone qualifies for those subsidies. In other words, this only works if we keep throwing more and more government money at the underlying problem. There really is no other practical solution. Thus the argument from the Democrats, who would be happy as pigs in slop if they could just continue to throw more and more money at the problem. In fact, the more money we throw at healthcare insurance, they probably figure that the closer to universal healthcare we can get (which, of course is the ultimate goal).
Now the same problem that existed when we passed Obamacare, is the same problem that exist today. In other words, Obamacare did not actually make health insurance any more affordable than it had been in the past. It provided a simple one stop place for people who need to purchase private insurance, and the number of people using the exchanges has not changed drastically over the years (22.5 million in 2018 and approximately 24.3 million in 2025). But one has to believe that the those 24.3 million are likely less healthy in 2025 than the 22.5 million were in 2018, which is what has increased the premiums faster than we would otherwise expect.
Either way, the GOP has now come up with some suggestions regarding a subsidized health savings account, rather than subsidies that go directly to the insurance companies. They probably need some more alternate ideas that they can present, at least to show the American public that they have alternate ideas, rather than just bashing the current set up. I know Democrats will discount those alternatives as non-starters, while simultaneously suggesting that the GOP is still causing the issue and not offering solutions. So far the media and others allow them to get away with this, even as it is dripping with deception and a complete lack of logic.
The SEC it just means more. lol
