No President or candidate should be charged with a crime when barely half of the country believes in the verdict.
Do people really believe that Justice should be partisan?
As an American I would take no comfort in a poll that shows 54% of the public agrees with the decision (especially when that 54% is mainly Democrats and liberal independents). One reason I would take no comfort in this is the fact that I have also seen many polls suggesting that a majority believes that the charges were politically motivated, rather than a pursuit of justice. Polls vary and I seriously doubt that long term we will see a large share of our country believing this was a good thing.
Moreover, all of this comes on the heels of the Special Counsel Hur reporting to the nation that Joe Biden committed all the elements of the simple crime of knowingly possessing classified documents, and we were told that he was basically not competent enough to stand trial. We also watched the DOJ stall on any part of the Hunter Biden investigation that could possibly involve the President. They couldn't have had more evidence of a crime that they simply refused to charge. Oh, and let's not forget James Comey declaring that Hillary Clinton had openly violated laws when she set up a home-made server and accessed classified documents with an unauthorized phone (likely being hacked), only to suggest that "no reasonable prosecutor" would have charged her.
Reality is that both of Donald Trump's opponents for President have been publicly declared by our criminal justice system to have committed obvious federal felony crimes and neither were charged. Yet, Donald Trump was convicted (seven years after the fact) of misclassifying a legal non-disclosure agreement because of something he didn't even do. It was a Trump organization employee who took Michael Cohen's invoice at face value and entered it as a legal expense on Donald Trump's personal books. Books that he is not even "required" to keep as a private citizen, much less be required to be held criminally responsible for which drop down classification a clerk used for an expense. All based on an entry that neither prosecution nor the judge even explained to anyone what was wrong with the classification or how it should have been entered?
Going back in time, I didn't take issue with Hillary Clinton not being charged given the political fallout of charging a Presidential candidate. I took issue with James Comey making a call that was not his to make. The call should have come from Obama's Attorney General Lorretta Lynch. I am not even sure that Joe Biden should face charges for possession of classified documents given the sheer number of politicians who have done something similar, including Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Either charge them all or charge none of them. Until Donald Trump came along it was determined that they would charge none of them. Now it is just hypocrisy in the most tainted manner.
I simply don't think anyone will care what Obama did and the usual suspects (CNN, MSNBC, WaPo, NYT, etc...) would not report anything even if dead bodies were uncovered.
Don’t forget ValJar, the Dementia and chief didn’t come up with this on his own

This site's response time is crawling this morning... maybe mad at me for not recognizing the rabbit? (possibly because I had to sign in again, appears faster now though not blazing fast, more tortoise than hare)
To me it looks like Obama is still running things and remember how he went scorched earth as an unpopular president to win a second term. This time he's using flame-throwers so it's not so much a rule of law as a deliberate political campaign with Obama behind the curtain. Who knows how much he has to lose in a return of Trump. But he would know.
I have a feeling history would not be kind to Obama under sunlight.
