Clever media tactic or just a lie?

Left wing media claims that FD-1032 is uncorroborated

So we are all aware of a FD-1032 that provides allegations and what appears to be evidence that Hunter and Joe Biden were involved in a bribe having to do with Burisma, the firing of State prosecutor Viktor Shokin, and 5 million dollars.

According to the document, there was at least 9 recorded phone conversations, two of which included Joe Biden that talked of the manner. At one point the suggestion was that it would take 10 years for authorities to uncover how the payments made it from point A to point B. Apparently our SEC and FBI uncovered it in just a couple of years, but were never allowed to pursue anything.

Several media outlets are offering what appears to be the TPM on the FD-1032. The talkin point is that the FD-1032 is just an allegation and that the FBI was never "able" to corroborate any of the claims. Now this is made out as if authorities ran with the FD-1032 and after thorough investigation were able to determine this to be untrue. But the actual reality is that the FD-1032 was provided to David Weiss, who then promptly shelved it. In other words, authorities simply never investigated it.

So in semantic terms it is not a lie to suggest it was uncorroborated. That is the only result you can get when you refuse to actually try to corroborate it. But it is still a lie by implication or by omission when you fail to offer that the FD-1032 was hidden from the actual investigators by the person running the investigation. Moreover, the Congressional investigations have already uncovered corroborating emails that fall right smack in line with the allegations set forth by the FD-1032. Now obviously, politicians and dishonest media folks will suggest that congressional investigations are flawed and that we should rely on the FBI (even if they didn't actually investigate). To some degree, I think the general public will allow their "side" of the political spectrum to define how things are going. But to another degree, if the evidence becomes overwhelming, then the evidence is overwhelming and you look stupid denying it. I wonder how far away from that point we are. The media (hide our head in the sand) approach to this only works to further reduce their credibility. How long will they hold out on this?

The best part of being part of the left or of the media these days (redundant, I know) is that you can either ignore glaring evidence, declare it uncorroborated, or both, and simply walk away.

"If it was true CNN would've reported it!!!"

There's no 'investigative' journalism being done anymore. Only 'protective' journalism. Protective of democrats. The GOP exclusively gets 'attack' journalism.

This is where we are.
