Suggested that he left the deep south (Florida) get away from it at Vanderbilt (Tennessee).

Let's start with the fact that his VDC logo can't even center the hashtag to put it on one line. It all goes downhill from there.

If you go through the comment thread, I swear there isn't a single person who gave him any support for what he did or is doing. People point out that he is white, grew up in an extremely rich suburb in Florida, and that any racism he grew up with probably stopped and started with his family and friends. Several suggested that he should head out to Gaza to do some real social justice work. White savior (or some variation of such) seemed to pop up multiple times. But perhaps my favorite?

Shut up you cry baby.

Jack also claims that him assaulting a police officer is a lie, but video of the event certainly calls his denial into question. Many people also pointed out how many Jan 6th protesters saw jail time for doing no more than entering the building, a comparison that I am sure he must hate.

At the end of the day this kid is 90% self-proclaimed activist and probably 10% everything else. I doubt there is a serious business who will want to hire someone like this who appears to have little interest in anything other than promoting himself online.

One of the leaders of a group of students who held a sit-in at Vanderbilt University this week in support of Hamas is a long-time Democratic party activist with White House ties, as it turns out.

Florida native Jack Petocz is one of three students arrested by campus police after the incident on a charge of assaulting a security guard. Those arrested were also expelled by the university, while one student was suspended and 22 more put on probation. After his expulsion, Petocz penned a rambling, whiny, and bigoted Twitter/X thread about the ordeal, claiming that he was expelled "for the ultimate crime of caring as 33,000 people have been murdered."
