Will the Senate back the resolution through reconciliation?

I think there were a lot of people who believed that the House would crack and this thing would not pass. I don't know if some of the holdouts got something in exchange or if they just decided that they didn't want to be responsible for disfunction.
Now it is up to the Senate, who was hoping for far less spending cuts than the 1.5 trillion that the House wants to over ten years. I am sorry, but if you cannot come up with 150 billion in cuts per year out of a nearly seven trillion dollar budget, then you need to go find a different job. We are sitting right now with a deficit of almost two trillion over the next few years. 150 billion is barely going to make a dent in that. We are currently running a 36% deficit. That means we are spending 136% of what we are currently bringing in. Nearly a trillion of that (or about half) is nothing more than interest payments. This is only going to go up over time, and our politicians are just sitting on their hands pretending that we can continue this without repercussions.
