Biden the dictator foiled again by the rule of law!

The Supreme Court on Friday invalidated President Biden's student loan forgiveness plan, ruling that a 2003 federal law does not allow the program to wipe out nearly half-a-trillion dollars in debt.

The 6-3 decision by the court's conservative majority derails a major campaign pledge from the president, denying relief to roughly 40 million Americans who stood to have up to $20,000 in student debt wiped away under the plan.

In a statement, the president said he believed the decision was "wrong" and "disappointing." He said he will address the nation Friday afternoon and lay out "more detail on all that my Administration has done to help students and the next steps my Administration will take."

Well how about you allow Congress to do the job of creating laws and you (as President) focus on being the President and running the country from your basement? Not your job to circumvent the laws that congress passes and the USSC was correct to point this out.

While many children will be mortified that they are now expected to behave like adults and pay back money they borrow... This fits in to a recurring theme... and is once again best addressed by the fictional character from my childhood that my father used to refer to.

As the kindly old grey hair philosopher used to say...

Tough Shit!

Now I wonder...

MESSAGE... In this case I don't have a problem because it should be a law not an executive authority friend.

Some of us worked two jobs and went to school at the same time to avoid student loans...

You did rat. The x and I sacrificed to make sure our kids didn’t have any debt from school, I was to say the least livid at the prospect of this “forgiveness“.

DOD will probably have a few billion in “accounting errors“ they can funnel though

My father would tell us that if we were looking for sympathy we would find it in the dictionary between 'shit' and 'syphillis.'

My son applauds this decision, and he has student loan debt. He considers that debt to be his responsibility alone to repay.

I'd like to think I raised him right.
