Biden camp - not dropping out and committed to September Debate.

There are some powerful people controlling the puppet strings on this one.

I suspect that part of this is pride. If Biden drops out now, he will forever be looked at as the President who couldn't cut it. Much of his Presidency may even be rewritten with the reality that at some point he stopped being up to the job. This happened to a smaller degree with Reagan, but only after he won reelection by winning 49 states. If it can happened to someone like Reagan, imagine how much easier it would be to do it to Biden.

I actually believe that running and losing would be a better thing for the personal aspect of the Biden Presidency than dropping out due to an admission that he either could not cut it or that he was not up to beating Donald Trump. At least he could go down as a fighter who lost on the scorecards, rather than the fighter who tapped out because he couldn't take the pain of it all.

If Donald Trump was smart, he would start to mock Biden. Demand that Biden will drop out because he is too old and weak to continue. Call him a chicken who will probably drop out because he is not man enough to stand up to Trump. Demand that he will quit because he knows he will lose and is scared at what it will do to his reputation. Do everything in his power to challenge Biden and make it as humiliating as possible for him to drop out of the race.

I think this is where Biden and his inner circle are vulnerable. I think they truly believe that they can beat Trump if they just get their act together. They are probably still hoping that Jack Smith can being another case before the election. They are looking for something to change the dynamics and allow him to win a second term. Then, if need be, then he can step away sometime after winning and turn the reigns over to Kamala. But dropping out at this point proves everything his critics have stated about him was true.
