Biden announces $50 million dollar July advertising blitz?

Some are not too pleased that he is spending money donated to him on ads to get him re-elected!

Apparently there are people upset that the Biden campaign is spending $50 million of their own money because they believe he should step down and that all of his money should be turned over to Kamala. That being said, the Biden camp is aggressively trying to stop the bleeding and are hoping a major advertising blitz can help his sagging poll numbers. Either that, or they are doing it for spite.

At the end of the day, this is just another sign that Biden and his insiders are bound and determined to stubbornly remain in the race, in spite of growing calls that he should step aside. He obviously thinks he can turn things around, starting with the big interview today and moving forward with a huge advertising blitz in battleground states.

From watching a two minute preview of the interview with Stephanopoulos, Biden seems lucid but not exactly articulate. That being said, Biden has never been articulate and there was never going to be a good way to handle this interview. This was going to be a brutal line of questioning and what response can he provide other than to admit that he did poorly?

If that preview is any indication Biden appears to be "taking responsibility" and not trying to suggest delusionally that he won as he did originally. He did bring up the fact that Trump lied 28 times (or whatever) as if that "threw him off". But when pressed, he quickly suggests again that he just had a bad night. I think he just wanted to toss in the Trump lied angle as if that somehow can offset some of his bad performance.

The bad night, he explains, is because he was sick with a bad cold, which admittedly was apparent from how raspy his voice is. Hey, we have all been sick to the point where we lose a bit of our ability to perform at maximum levels, but that is just another thing that gets worse with age. As we get older, it take less and less to throw us off our "A" game. In Biden's case, this cold made him look somewhere between an actual human and Zombie who walks around mumbling about how he needs to eat some "brains". If all it takes to dismantle the mental faculties of the commander-in-chief, that is still a big problem.

Biden is doing great. The Ds should keep him.

I see no reason for the Ds to replace Biden. None. None at all.

This interview was the worst of all worlds for the Ds.

Biden committed no real flubs. He didn't do anything to force himself out of the race. But he appears old, weak, tentative and he's losing to Trump.

So Biden will dig in and stay. The Ds are stuck.
