Tim Walz says his mother will starve without her Social Security checks
On the first day of early voting in North Carolina, Democratic vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz hit the campaign trail in Durham on Thursday evening, making a personal revelation about his mother.
During his campaign rally, Walz said that his mother has to wait for her social security check every month to feed herself.
Here is a guy running for national office, who apparently doesn't have a few bucks to buy a couple of cans of SpaghettiOs or Spam for his mother, so she doesn't go hungry? I mean, maybe some cold cuts, a loaf of bread, and a half gallon of milk? Something? Would he really let his own mother starve so that he could prove some sort of point about social security (of course he doesn't really appear to have a point either with this story).
Walz really seems to be playing up the concept that Trump and Vance have both been financially successful, while he apparently only makes 250K a year (with his wife) and has a net worth of about a million dollars. This might appear as though Walz has not really been bought and paid for at this point, but it also shows that the man is not garnering speaking engagements or making the same sort of honest money that most career national politicians garner. He's probably doomed to be overlooked for these money-making ventures if Harris does not win and he has to go back to being a lowly governor.
At 60 years old, he appears to have been a knucklehead in finances as well as everything else. But even the poorest of the poor would have the decency to take care of their own mother in a pinch. Why does Walz suggest his mother is on her own and barely getting by?
Guess his pheasant hunt didn't go that well unless you are a pheasant. So now his poor mother must starve. At least she gets to experience communism.
