Let all of the politics begin... of course, since it involved a black teenager and the murder victim was Hispanic, this will be off the news cycle by tomorrow.

The police were not confirming the ethnicity of the victims, but had no issues stating that the shooter was African-American. Of course, the screams from the left will be about the gun and already people are demanding that the parents should be arrested and prosecuted. Others are blaming Trump and his election, as if that has anything to do with this.
One thing that was different and significant was that there were two school resource officers in the building. Not sure if these officers are armed or not, but they were apparently not in the cafeteria. There are also rumors that metal detectors had been previously installed but were no longer in use.
Obviously we are not going to do away with guns in this country and the same people who decry gun violence demand we do nothing to stop the flow of illegal guns coming in through the southern border. To be clear, we will not see a ban on guns in our lifetime (and maybe never in this country). We need to stop trying to solve a problem in a manner that is impossible and we need to do more to deal with the reality of how we live. I grew up in an age where many kids had hunting rifles, understood how to shoot a gun, and we never had school shootings. It's not the guns, people... it's the people using them. Figure it out and make a realistic plan to minimize it.
There must be a logical explanation for this.
Ebonics, perhaps?
A masters degree from the university of Penn.
LOL
There has never been such a torrent of good news in my lifetime:

I think that women tried to stab a capital police officer in the eye with her "spear draped by a flag". She was known to be lethal with any weapon shaped like a knitting needle.
