So more collusion between our White House and someone whom they really had no business colluding with. It's one thing when the government is colluding with our social media to control our social narrative. But what business do they have colluding with what turned out to be an illegal financial scam that cost people billions?
To say there are a lot of red flags with this situation is to understate things dramatically, and the questions surrounding the administration’s involvement become obvious with this news. What exactly was McElwee, operating as an advisor to Bankman-Fried, passing along to the White House? What exactly was the White House telling McElwee? Were they coordinating donations? Discussing messaging? Trading favors and influence? Or was there something even more sinister going on?
So far, Democrats have done their best to distance themselves from the man who was their second-largest donor in 2022, but these relationships aren’t going away just because the mainstream press ignores them. Having a secret backchannel with the White House is a big deal, and people deserve to know what their government was doing coordinating with a scam artist like Bankman-Fried.
Another issue we get to deal with is the complete and total inability and unwillingness for our media to hold any Democrats accountable for anything. Imagine if it was Donald Trump who was in bed with FTX. This would be 24/7 news on every news channel and the only thing the NTY, WSJ, and WaPo would be writing about. He would be immediately impeached and everyone would call for his resignation.
But this is a scandal involving FTX, the White House, Joe Biden and Democrats as a whole. That means a complete mainstream media blackout... eventually followed by stories about why the conspiracy theories fell on deaf ears (even as a majority of the nation knows the truth). Oh, and meanwhile the employees at these media outlets cannot figure out why they are being laid off as their companies lose money hand over fist.
Twitter has had 70% of their employees laid off, fired, or they quit. This after the company had literally lost 24 billion in value once they decided that they were no longer a "free speech" forum, but rather a liberal narrative sounding board where all dissent had to be found and removed. I don't believe liberals have quite figured out that their idea of pushing their fake liberal narrative is not an attractive business model. Or maybe they do understand, but feel entitled to have someone else lose money so they can continue on their merry way.
Fortunately, this is all catching up with them. CNN has learned the hard way that running a liberal media news outlet is a loser. Twitter has learned the hard way as well. WaPo is having this lesson taught right now. Will the overall legacy media (as CNN did) decide that they need to cover news objectively again? We'll see. But it cannot not happen soon enough.
