Another dead protester in Minnesota.

This one was armed with a handgun. DHS says he brandished the gun before being shot.
It is hard to tell from the video exactly what happens here. But obviously, something happens that causes at least three of the agents to quickly back away about a second or two before the shooting. If I had to guess, this is when the DHS says the perp went for his gun. I see no other good reason why they would have jumped back as they did.
Now once again, there will be people who demand that this was murder or even an execution. Some are saying that the gun was already recovered (I don't see that from the video). Some are suggesting that he was shot while still lying down, but the video clearly shows that he had gotten back to his knees just before being shot. It also doesn't make any sense that ICE would just shoot someone for the sake of shooting someone, given all the eyes on the situation. One would have to believe that prudence and restraint would be at the forefront.
I also see liberals out there pushing the second amendment argument. Hey, they say, having a gun is protected and no reason for law enforcement to shoot someone. I guess that all depends on whether or not this gun was legal, whether the suspect had a legal right to conceal and carry, and whether or not he was intending to use it against law enforcement. Again, I would suspect that the gun was illegal, and I would guess that he was intending to use it in a manner that was also illegal. He was doing exactly what Minnesota politicians are telling him to do. He was resisting and intending to fight back and he was armed.
Walz and the rest of the Minnesota crazies besides themselves and demanding that the State needs to lead the investigation. This will not happen. Federal law enforcement has immunity from being charged by a state for actions taken within their duties enforcing federal law enforcement. There is some suggestion that Federal Agents had to fend of local police from the scene as well. So someone tried to order Minneapolis police to intervene. Once again, the local politicians are attempting to rewrite the law and rewrite all the judicial precedent because they feel entitled to their own reality. Sorry Minnesota, but it doesn't work like that.
