Every fight ended with a TKO or KO with the five round main event championship bout ending when Ilia Topuria refused to come out for the fifth round. Topuria was highly favored and his concession handed Justin Gaethje the unified crown.

In many ways, Gaethje was the main character of the event. An American brawler with a history of taking on all comers and going to war every time. His speech afterwards was all about the country, first responders, military, and anything and everything other than himself.

This was very refreshing after watching the NBA finals were it was all about the individuals taking part. Pretty sure there was not a player on the Knicks or the Spurs who gave a shit about military, police, firefighters or other first responders. They just wanted to win to make sure they got an extra 50 million on their next contract. Those who didn't win acted like 7' 4" toddlers (yeah, I am referring to someone specific).
