All right, we'll call it a draw

Leftist media claims outmatched Walz fought Vance to a draw

A couple of the snap polls showed a similar result of either small Vance win or a dead on tie, suggesting either the polls were rigged or the audience for this debate was overwhelmingly liberal. Not sure how you can come out of this unimpressed with Vance and at least mildly worried about Walz potentially at the helm, much less come out believing Walz outperformed Vance.

That being said, Vance is the first Republican to get over 50% in the CNN snap poll and the real polls will come over the next couple of weeks. Do I think that the same amount of pollsters will ask the same amount of questions about this debate than they did about the last debate? Of course not. They will likely try to slide past this quickly, just as they have tried to underplay the events of the hurricane down in Georgia and North Carolina. Any news that might harm Democrats is yesterday's news. But they will almost certainly bring it up in the next round of polling.

I talked to my brother last night who was listening to the debate on the radio. He is a hard core religious conservative and thought Walz deserved a grade of B for his performance based on what he heard. Made me think of the famous Kennedy Nixon debate where the mannerism and look of the candidates mattered as much as what they say. Walz might not have sounded out of sync or nervous on the radio, but he sure did look uncomfortable and flustered on television. That split screen did nothing to help Walz either. He looked uncomfortable just watching and listening to Vance talk. Quite frankly, I think he looked like a knucklehead. I think someone should call him that!
