Actually, we don't know for sure if Acosta is actually being moved or being moved out. Rumors are that this sort of demotion is designed to push Acosta out the door as much as it is to actually see him in the midnight slot. Moreover, there are indications that Acosta is contemplating a move either to another network (MSNBC) or going out on his own as so many MSM journalists have been forced to do recently.
Norah O'Donnell is pretending she is being somehow moved up into an "expanded role" at CBS, although nobody really knows what that means. She wasn't laid off, even as CBS has laid off people left and right. Perhaps there is something in her contract that is guaranteed. Either way, they have decided that she is not the person to lead CBS evening news from the abyss. Ratings have been crashing and I guess they will try something new.

Other than Maria Bartiromo on Sundays I don't watch Fox anymore but always liked this guy's opinions when he was a frequent guest of Tucker. He crushed on his first day replacing Neil Cavuto on Fox who I also couldn't stand on Fox Business (now departed there too).
HUGE numbers for a daytime show but it started day after Inauguration Day and a lot going on... still the upgrade is obvious.
