Well so much for those dreams of a Superbowl for the NY Jets... not that I believed that the 39 year old Rogers was the savior for them.
Either way, on his second pass attempt he gets twisted around and likely suffered a serious injury. This sort of thing happens as you get older. The body just isn't what it once was. While I don't believe that 39 is old by normal standards (MMA fighters are just hitting their stride in their late 30s) - in pro football, 39 is well past an athlete's prime, especially in any "skill position".
Well, you win some and you lose some. The Jets probably lost more than a little. Ironically they beat the bills on the strength of four turnovers and a TD punt return in OT to win the game. Perhaps they didn't need Rogers after all!
