Wouldn't that green light an indictment of former President Trump?
At this point in time the prudent play for everyone involved should be to back off the idea that a few classified documents that are found within thousands of other documents is the crime of the century.
Both sides have some legitimate suggestion that the other guy did worse. Trump had "more" documents and was less cooperative. Biden had documents all over the place that had obviously been moved around over the years.
Meanwhile both have arguments that their issue was not as big a deal. Trump defenders can point to the chain of custody in that whatever documents he had were never anywhere other than a secured government location or in a heavily secured location in his Mar-a-Lago estate that nobody had access to. Biden supporters might opine that his cooperation is actually more important than his mishandling. A dubious claim (since when is any criminal activity okay if you cooperate after you have already committed the crime). But it is a claim nonetheless.
Oh... and let's not forget. You still have to contend with the non-prosecution of Hillary Clinton, the blatant mishandling of documents by James Comey that barely got a shrug, and now the classified documents Mike Pence has found as well. While it might seem like a good chance to "get back" at the President for supporting (if not egging on) the investigation of Trump, it might not serve any real purpose than to make this whole mishandling of document fiasco seem bigger than it should be. Apparently this it the new "in thing". Apparently everyone is doing it!
In order to quit something, we had to have already been doing it. So apparently Roger is admitting that the Trump impeachments were for political "purposes" not political "corruption".
The drunken sot cheered on two purely political impeachments, and now that we have an imbecile president who has actually broken the law and is as crooked as a dog's hind leg, suddenly impeaching the senile piece of shit criminal would be purely political.

There is a reason why the FBI is hoarding the documents. I suspect that the Biden docs are more sensitive than the Trump or Pence documents.
If Trump's were more damaging that almost certainly have leaked by now, so I'd agree. Looks like politics are going full blast right now

Impeachment on Biden should be centered around his acts as "the big guy" as documented by the Hunter laptop. And his weaponized politization of DOJ and FBI to cover it up while asserting pressure on big tech to do the same.
Or his failure to ensure the laws are followed and our border is secure.
Or his failure to stem the incoming tide of fentanyl and now 120,000 annual drug deaths
or the rising "suddedly died" issues
or the inadequate protection of the justices of the Supreme Court, an equal branch of government
or leaving tens of billions of weaponries in Afghanistan, now being sold by the Taliban to Russia to use in Ukraine
or so many other things
